Hope's Reach

This is a close-up detail of the facade of Hope, a sculpture I had done soon after 9-11.

  1. I like the idea of the hand of man obscuring "Hope," but Hope is still there. The bird, associated with the heart and a Western symbol of Hope, looks to and so points to "Hope" if anyone is interested in noticing. Deathless, constant Hope. Doesn't the heart always know hope is forever real, irrespective of intellectual "reasoning?"

    1. Thanks, Michael! I always enjoy your eloquent analysis of symbolism. I learn so much about my work through you!
