Bricks and Keys

Our little sketching group gathered together yesterday at The Undertown in Port Townsend, where we collectively sipped Cappucinos and Chais and drew the locals as they quietly sipped, read, and chatted.   Marian and Roger have already posted their sketches on their blogs this morning.   I got blogged down with bricks and stone.   This gentleman was not only oblivious to my interest in him as a subject, but also to the faces that seemed to emerge behind him.

  1. Wow- the stone and brick look so real. If you hadn't mentioned it, I might have taken a while to notice the faces. They incorporate very well. The guy is great!

  2. Thanks, Marian! I think we could go back again and again and find hundreds of subjects to sketch. May second sketch is not a happy thing. This may be the only one from yesterday worth posting.

  3. So cool! I love that there are hidden faces in your picture. What a great thing to do as a group...I need to get me some sketching buds:)

  4. Thanks, Joyce. We've only been doing this twice, now, but already it's addictive, at least for me! So fun to look at each other's sketches, and the informality is very nice.
